What are precision turned parts?

Precision turned parts or micro-turned parts are rotationally symmetrical, tiny parts. And by small, we really mean small: with diameters of 0,2 mm, the details are barely visible to the human eye.

How are turned parts made?

No matter how small, tiny, or large: Turned parts are created by turning machinable materials. Turning is a manufacturing process in machining technology. It is a mechanical process that reduces the diameter of bars or round materials. Rotating cutting and turning tools remove material from workpieces. The workpiece is either clamped in a fixed position and machined by a rotating tool, or the workpiece is clamped in a chuck that rotates on its own axis.

What plant technology is needed for turned parts?
